< on-line project news >

For news and announcements about the project, please visit the bitmap2CLD online FORUM
Let's discuss, interact and share experiences in using and programming small graphic LCDs and Bitmap2LCD right there.

The functional freeware Basic Edition V1.5a is ready for you in the DOWNLOAD section.
Please do not forget to read the short tutorial there.

The shareware full version Standard Edition is available on eMail demand !
Click here for a quotation inquiry by sending a void eMail (automated response)

- This V1.5a release includes a separate executable for an evaluation of the Standard Edition.
Install the package and launch Bitmap2LCD BASIC, or bitmap2LCD EVAL only if you want to experiment additional
graphic editing , data compression and animation editor features. Remember, with the EVAL version, you can not save any file of any type.

Here some news about the latest features implemented in the STANDARD Edition V1.5a release of Bitmap2LCD :

Animated graphics on your graphic LCD.
Bitmap2LCD allows the import of color animated GIF files with easy conversion in monochrome animation. A multi- layered GIF file contains more than only one picture, you can either select only one of the collection to add to your design project, or encode in one click the full animation sequence to a multiple table of constants with main clip unit. Animation editor functions allow you to build your own animation or modify frames, creating yourself a GIF file and then play and edit the animation sequence.

Loading and moving a picture in the transfer layer to trace shapes in transparency.

Saving and loading project oriented separate configuration settings.

Flip, rotate or resize parts of the LCD display.

Select contiguous pixels as areas including diagonals or just the horizontal and vertical ones, to move, copy, reverse, delete, resize, flip or rotate.

Possible zoom in and zoom out of the work canvas.

Filling of contiguous pixel area selection with pixel pattern effects like dithering.

Support of monochrome LCD Dot Matrix modules up to 320 x 240.

Encode with a simple data compression algorithm to save target Flash memory especially for animations.

Give a try to the EVAL executable present in your BASIC package !
